*Cling Cling Cling* and I heard 'em say..

So it's my first week back.. so far so good. Like what I always say "Can't complain as much as I want to". Anyway, so far i have no complains about school other that i have no practi spot yet but it's all cool.. I'm graduating on October. Other than that, today was the first full run through of the play and to tell you the truth, i wasn't expecting it to be really good (Good Job guys). Further more.. what else can i say?! Everything is peachy north of the border?! Maybe.. i just don't want to talk about it no more.. i got better things to worry about.. "I'll just be here for her whenever i'm needed.. but other than that, i'll just be doing my own thing" because thats how it is i guess.. don't want to elaborate and make this entry sound mellon collie.. it's mellon collie as it is.. hehe.. Peace.. a little later and another blog entry will appear..

DAY 25: The Last Day

The day was spent downtown San Francisco, where we basically just hung around the Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Actually, everybody wasn't in the mood to do anything today, i just forced them to head for the city so that i'd be able to go to Golden Gate Park.. hehehe. Everyone was just so tired and eager to go home already that, they just wanted to complete the final items on their shopping lists and hang in the house the whole day. I was so surprised to hear Mom actually decline when Kuya Louie asked her if she wanted to head out to the outlet which was a couple of minutes away from where we were. hehehe..

Anyway, so this is my last day here in the states.. i'm heading back to the good old Philippines in like five hours time. Honestly, i really want to go home already, but i'm just not so sure if i'm ready to face what's waiting for me back home. I mean, first up we have "One Way".. I have no problem with the production.. i know we'll do fine.. it's just that, for the past few weeks, i've been chatting with some people from the crew and some from the production team and besides the play's progress not up to quota, from what i've been hearing, the everybody's attitude towards each other are getting worse. Everything is getting to their heads and this is not good, especially the playdate being two weeks from now. I don't know how it came to this.. before i left, we had a forum about this since we already had this problem during the early stages of this production and i was actually confident that that would keep eveybody's head straight and their feet on the ground.. I guess it didn't. Oh well, C'est la vie, i'm heading back to the Chaos of the "One Way".. Whoopie.. this is going to be a wild ride.

Next i got some school stuff to worry about. My last term as a student is about to start on the 22nd.. Well, actually i've got not a lot of problems regarding that, infact i got motivation to actually get the job done which is "I have to go back here as soon as possible and get my papers fixed legaly because................!" hahahahahaha!! so far that motivation is way over the Motivation gauge.. i just hope it doesn't run out (i don't think it will).

So.. there you go.. this is where my trip ends. My next blog will already be back home (complaining about the weather). Hehe.. so what have i learned these three weeks?! Well.. for one thing.. i have a reason to go back here.. well.. north of the border that is. And, lastly life here is great... though life in back home is still the shiznit! hahaha! ok.. i'm out of Corona.. well.. Adios!! So Far.. All Good... hehehe

Alcohol Consumed this trip:

Corona's = 17 bottles
Heiniken's = 7 bottles
Some Mexican Beer (i think the name is Sol)= 5 bottles
Alexander Keith's = 1 huge ass Glass
Coor's Light = 2 bottles
MGD = 4 cans
Jose Cuervo = 5 shots

DAY 22 - 24: Westcoast Roadtrip

We started the road trip last Tuesday to Bass lake and made our way to Yosemite National Park and to our last stop in Monterey Bay which was today. The past week i didn't really expect to enjoy my stay here but so far so good.. The whole road trip was about nature and all that.. which is actually good since the past few weeks i've been either in the City or in Suburbia, and it's a nice change of scenery and a shit load of fresh air.. hehe

Bass Lake

It's nothing special really, just that our Cabin was a few walks to the lake which is just spectacular at nice since it's all moonlit and all. How'd i know? well, that's where i had a few of my yosi breaks the night we stayed there. Ok, how nice is it?! ok, 12 am.. the moon's reflection is in the lake and because of that the whole lake is illuminated by it and the backgrund are the snowcapped mountains while the coyotes are howling.. hmm.. lovely.. (wishing i had someone with me that time)

Yosemite National Park

And I thought i'd only see this on the Discovery Channel! haha! The park is huge and words just can't describe how lovely it is. The El Capitan (The World's biggest Rock), Cathedral Rock and Sentinel Rocks are just huge and breath taking! No to mention the Yosemite Falls and the Bridal Veil falls. Too bad we didn't get to see the half dome and the Giant Sequoia's! oh well, i'll be back.. definately.. Anyway, the place was just Lovely i just have to say, i'm lucky to be one of billions of people to have the right to say "I've been to Yosemite and it's was just great" (pictures to follow)

Monterey Bay

Right after Yosemite, we headed straight for Monterey Bay in which we stayed at this cabin right beside the Beach (Perfect, Beach right after the Mountains.. hehehe). The place was just like the cover of the Incubus Album "Morning View". It was just perfect.. The waves were huge and i mean, more than footers and they even curl up at the shore. (pictures to follow) Anyway, the last time i was in Monterey was seven years ago and so for nothing drastic has changed especially at Cannery Row.. but it's still as pretty as always. This part of the trip is actually for Dad since this is where you can find Pebble Beach (the golf course). Anyway, we passed through the 17 mile drive where the Spansh Links on the Bay, Poppy Hills, Spy Glass Hill and The Lone Cypress are found (they are golf courses).. Dad was like in toys are us awhile ago.. hehehehe

Anyway, it's our last day here in the State tomorrow.. so far so good.. i can't wait to get home.. anyway, till tomorrow

DAY 21: I left my Heart in Willowbrook

First night here in Frisco in Kuya Louie's house. So far.. errrm... so good?! i don't know.. maybe. I haven't been here more than 12 hours and I miss Chicago already. I'd rather be there right now messing around with Tj or taking Mikee for a walk while smoking.. And yeah the weather here?! YETCH!! it's burning! well not as compared to Manila but i'm not ready to feel heat yet! hahaha well anyway, i don't have a lighter, though i have a whole pack of Winston Lights 100's.. shit.. this is gonna be a long night..

On Tomorrow's agenda.. Yosemite.. i might not blog for the next two days.. so there.

Temperature

19 - 24 (Scorching.. Not yet please!!)

DAY 20: The Last Day in Chi Town

Today i'm writting my entry a bit early compared to my previous entries. Tomorrow at 9, i'm flying to the west coast and heading for Frisco. Honestly, i don't really want to go there.. I'd rather stay here and spend my last week here. I really love it here, though it's a bit lonely.. Ok, the past few days i've been wishing that i'd be home.. but the only reason why i really want to head home is because of my last term of school and the One Way production which from what i'm hearing is progressing yeah?! but with a shit load of problems, Personal problems and a lot of technical ones.. But honestly, if i didn't have these reasons i would't really bother heading home.. i'd actully stay here and get a job..

Anyway, today's Madeleine's 1st Communion.. i wasn't on the actual ceremony and stuff since i consumed a shit load of Corona's last night and i had a really good night's sleep! hahaha i was at the reception though. We had it a PF Chang's this really expensive and overrated restaurant.. and after that we the people in the reception headed straight for the house and played Majong.. until now..hahaha!

anyway.. back to packing.. i was supposed to call the girl, but i guess she's not home again.. oh well.. C'est la Vie..

Temperature

5 - 15 (Really Nice!! hehehe)

DAY 19: York Town, Linen's and Things

The Rents, Wowie and Me are just finishing up our shopping before heading for Frisco this Sunday. Bad timing actually.. when i'm starting to get used to the life here in Chicago, now we have to leave and head for my cousins boring pad! sheesh! Well, so far the trip to Yosemite is something to look forward to.. but other that, i'd rather stay here, be in Toronto or actually go home already.. Hayy..

Anyways, tomorrow is Madeleine's First Communion.. Nice!! we going to have lunch at lovely Chinese Restaurant. hehehe ok.. off to bed.. until tomorrow..

DAY 18: Aurora

So it's my last few days here and we're heading for Yosemite. Don't know what to expect really, though from the pictures and from what i've been hearing it's a really beautiful place.. I just hope i don't get dissapointed and i hope they sell cigarettes there since i'm almost out! haha

Anyway, the day was spent in an outlet in Aurora. We almost bought the outlet out when Sieg and Aby was still with us! but today, we were just going around looking for a cheap ice cream maker and we actually found one, Cuisinart that's around $100 with a free coffee grinder. Well, actually that was our only agenda.. not until we saw that Aeropostale was having a sale.. hahahaha!

So.. from what i heard from my Mom, tomorrow we're again, heading for Oakbrook.. Sheesh! I was kinda hoping we'd spend the day in the city or something.. Anyway, till tomorrow..

DAY 17: Up Town Chicago, Downtown Chicago and the Tornado

Me and Wowie spent the whole day Downtown and Up town Chicago, basically walking around "The Magnificent Mile" (Michigan Avenue), Navy Pier, hanging beside the Chicago river and a little around the Northwestern Campus. It's really nice to walk around this city during this time (Spring) while you got the Dave Matthews Band, a little Mayonnaise and Cynthia Alexander on your Ipod. The Music just gives your long stroll around the city a good vibe see? You don't really notice how far you've already walk until you take out the earphones, look back and realize that you've already gone 10 to 15 blocks (The City blocks are huge! believe me). Anyway, we missed The Millenium Park and Solider field.. maybe tomorrow or Saturday.. depends on what i do tomorrow.

Anyway, My Parents, Tita Mameng and Nay just got home from Graceland full of Elvis goodies and a tornado story. Apparently, on their way back here in Chicago while they were still in Missouri they were being chased by a tornado. Well.. not literally but every so often the radio station would be interrupted by a tornado warning heading for their way and before exiting Missouri they saw the havoc of the tornado that just missed them. NIIIIICE... hehehe thank God i wasn't there with them and thank God they're safe..

Anyhoo, 4 more days and i'm off to Frisco.. that's the last chapter of this Trip.. thank God.. i want to go home already!!

DAY 16: Graceland and One Way

This afternoon, My Parents (actually just my Mom, Dad was steady about it), Tita Mameng and Nay left for Memphis to visit Graceland dissapointed since Me and Wowie decided to stay here in Chicago. First of all, we were kinda tired of another road trip, Second, we don't like Elvis Presley.. Period.. So, either way, we didn't really mind. And it's not a major loss for us not to be able to visit that place. If they were going to Liverpool England to visit the Beatles, why not but that's Elvis! I don't even know any of his songs, actually i do but i couldn't care less.. so tomorrow it's downtown with Wowie and Wicked the play probably or a trip at the house of blues.. whatever happens i'm just thankful i'm not in Graceland.

I was chatting with Anton awhile ago about One Way to check on what's been happening back home. So far it's the same bullshit.. Now, it's not about the script.. now it's the play title. They changed the title without even asking me.. yeah, so what if i'm here in Chicago, it's not as if you'll go through hell just to email me?! just to ask eventhough i know if i say no they'll still push through with their Goddamn decision... Tss! whatever!! fuck it!! Thinking about one way will be on hold till i get back.. or maybe i won't think about it no more, since "MY JOB IS DONE ALREADY..".. tsss.. whatever.. bahala na kayo jan!

DAY 15: The Chicago Dog

Literally, we were in the house the whole day watching the tube and rotting in front of the Game Cube with Starwars as the game. Well, we went out to buy Chicago style hot dogs at Portillo's but that's basically it.. Tomorrow we have to do something or i'll snap and steal the car and head north of the border.. sheesh!

DAY 13 and 14: Party at the House and Boling Brook

So Sieg and Aby are already home.. Good for them, i want to go home already, because of the play and all.. and it's getting pretty lonely here. Nothing to do and basically it's just Me, My Brother Wowie, My new pack of Newports and My Football.

So yesterday, Sieg and Aby headed back to Manila. And there was a party here for Tita Raquel's and Madeleine's Birthday.. nice. It was alright i guess, typical Filipinos in abroad gathering.. nothing big. Though they asked us from back home a lot of questions about what's been happening and stuff. Guess they relly miss the Philippine Islands.. And yeah, i drove Tj, William and Jenny along with Wowie to watch Scary Movie 4 at Loes at Boling Brook. That's like from my house to Sucat exit, not that far really.. That's what happened yesterday.. oh i called the girl yesterday, too bad she was at work and i got to talk to her mom.. nnnnice!! hhehe

Today was spent mostly at home. Church in the morning and a $30 per head lunch at Benihana's, and football at the most fucked up pitch i've ever been in.. nothing big.. the sky was a bit gloomy.. the sun didn't really come out today and it was raining most of the time. Dinner's was at Jenny's house at Boling Brook. Deep Dish Pizza, some Chinese Food and a movie.. nothing big.. really dragging...

As you can see.. as the days pass.. it's gets dragging and dragging by the second.. I wish i went home with Sieg and Aby.. sheesh!!
