0-0: Whites Draw in La Romareda

Real Madrid did not find the way to beat the home keeper who eventually became the best player in his squad. The Whites were one man short over the last twenty minutes of play following Pavón's dismissal. However, Raul, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Zidane, Figo and Guti all had their chance to break through the local wall, but, in the end, none of them was lucky enough. Number 14 stood out as best player of the game on Queiroz' side on the very same day of his ninth anniversary as First Division player. The point earned in Zaragoza does not give Real the top position. Athletic Bilbao will be visiting Bernabeu next Saturday in another Liga encounter.

Lainez' performance progressed just at the same pace as Madrid's charges on his goal. Queiroz' boys seemed a shooting machine, but without hitting a target. The white control suffered a setback when Pavón was sent off after his second yellow with twenty minutes left. However, the command of the game remained in the visitors' hands as they keep dominating the play. Solari came on to rearrange the layout of the white team fifteen minutes before the end.

The late minutes of play were a constant exchange of strokes on each goal. Entering the field with five minutes lef, Portillo could not find the way to the net either. The point won in Zaragoza was not enough for Real to keep a temporary leadership on the table. Next encounter will be staged on Saturday against Athletic Bilbao at Bernabeu.

THE MATCH:
0 – REAL ZARAGOZA: Lainez; Rebosio, Milito, Toledo, Alvaro; Ponzio, Soriano, Corona (Inaki 86´), Savio (Cani 76´); Galletti and Villa.
0 – REAL MADRID: Casillas; Roberto Carlos, Michel Salgado, Raul Bravo, Pavon; Helguera, Guti, Figo, Zidane (Portillo 86´); Raul and Ronaldo (Solari 76´).
REFEREE: Mejuto Gonzalez (Asturias Referee Association). He sent Pavon off after two yellow cards (9´ and 71´). Yellow cards also to Ponzio (30´) and Helguera (41´).
OTHER FACTS: Liga Matchday 9. La Romareda Stadium, full. Several Real Zaragoza players, along with Míchel Salgado and Roberto Carlos, worn special shirts to cheer up Nacho (Savio Bortolini's consultant), who had suffered a car accident recently.

3-1: The White's Beat Racing Santander!

It was the scoring skills of Queiroz' men which in the end beat Racing Santander. Tonight the rival presented all the reasons for their current standing on the table. They took the lead in the very early minutes and played wonderfully, but Zidane and Raul were on the opposing side to turn the match round. It proved one of the most exciting games Bernabeu fans have watched recently.

The draw on the scoreboard seemed more and more fixed as the game went on. But captain Raul had not stepped in yet and he finally did at the best possible moment, as he usually does. The second white goal was a work of art. Guti receives a ball in his area, controls it all the way to the midfield, where Figo gets it and sends it to Raul. The forward had been following the whole move from the beginning and was at the right spot to net the ball (79'). What an awesome goal! It was a hard blow to Racing Santander. They were touched. The scoring show had not finished yet, as Raul consolidated the victory with another timely target (90').

THE MATCH:
REAL MADRID: Casillas; Salgado, Raul Bravo, Pavon, Roberto Carlos; Helguera, Cambiasso (Guti, 62’), Figo, Zidane; Raul and Ronaldo (Solari, 72’).
RACING DE SANTANDER: Ricardo; Corominas, Neru, Juanma, Pablo Casar; Moran, Diego, Nafti, Benayoun; Regueiro and Bodipo.
GOALS:
0-1. 15’: No man's ball in Real's area, Benayoun comes across the sphere, turns around and slots it.
1-1. 26’: Great volley by Zidane, right-footed shot, the ball gets in half way up besides the left post.
2-1. 79’: Raul rounds off a great interplay by Guti, Zidane and Figo.
3-1: 90’: Raul scores again from the area.
REFEREE: Javier Turienzo Alvarez, Castilla-Leon Referees Association. Yellow cards to Moran, Nafti, Zidane, Helguera and Guti.

Pig

Isn't it strange
How we move our lives for another day
Like skipping a beat
What if a great wave should
wash us all away
Just thinking out loud
Don't mean to dwell on this dying thing
But looking at blood
It's alive right now
Deep and sweet within
Pouring through our veins
Intoxicate moving wine to tears
Drinking it deep
Then an evening spent dancing
It's you and me
This love will open our world
From the dark side we can see a glow of something bright
There's much more than we see here
Don't burn the day away

Is this not enough
This blessed sip of life
Is it not enough
Staring down at the ground
Oh then complain and pray
more from above
Greedy little pig
Stop just watch your world trickle away
Oh it's your problem now
It'll all be dead and gone in
a few short years
Just love will open our eyes
Just love will put the hope in our minds
Much more than we could ever know
Don't burn the day away

Come sister
my brother
Shake up your bones shake up your feet
I'm saying open up
And let the rain come pouring in
Wash out this tired notion
That the best is yet to come
But while you're dancing on the ground
Don't think of when you're gone
Love! love!? what more is there?
We need the light of love in here
Don't beat your head
Dry your eyes
Let the love in there
There are bad times
But that's ok
Just look for love in it
Don't burn the day away

Look
Here are we
On this starry night staring into space
And I must say
I feel as small as dust
Lying down here
What point could there be troubling
Head down wondering what will
become of me
Why concern we cannot see
But no reason to abandon it
Time is short but that's all right
Maybe I'll go in the middle of the night
Take your hands from your eyes, my love
Everything must end some time
Don't burn the day away

"1-0: The Whites Win Again!"

Madrid beat Partizan in front of the white old-timers, who were watching their successors from royal box. The game went on smoothly as if all the twenty-two players on the field were convinced of the white superiority. The scoreboard, though, did not quite show the fierce attacks displayed by Real. Partizan placed all the emphasis on the defence and charged on Casillas' goal only in the second half. Raul's goal proved determinant and as valuable as that of Mijatovic at Amsterdam Arena. In the company of the achievers of the Sixth, the "heroe" of the Seventh was the honorary witness of another step to the Tenth.
With the control of the ball and the mifield at Real's feet, the game kicked off just in the most suitable way to the local squad. Most dangerous actions came up on Figo's flank, but the shooting failed. The third keeper of Partizan got a chance to prove his skills only after 29 minutes into the match. It was a clean strike by Ronaldo. The visiting keeper deflected it to the corner. All other previous attempts went wide: Roberto Carlos' touch (10'), Raúl's header (12'), a well-aimed shot by Figo (16'), a free kick taken by Beckham (23'). The latter brushed the post. Nothing on the home goal. Had the Yugoslavian fans wanted to see Casillas' skills, they would have had to watch a tape from past matches. But then, we all know about the white keeper's abilities. The visitors did not shoot at goal once leaving Casillas unbeaten.

THE MATCH:
1 - REAL MADRID: Casillas; Salgado, Pavon (Guti, min. 46), Raul Bravo, Roberto Carlos; Helguera, Beckham; Figo, Zidane; Raul and Ronaldo.
0 - PARTIZAN: Pantic; Savic, Djordjevic, Malbasa, Rzasa; Drulovic, Ilic, Nadj (Cakar, min. 91), Duljaj; Ognjanovic and Iliev.
REFEREE: Massimo Busacca (SWI). Yellow cards to Beckham and Guti.
GOALS: 1-0: Min. 38: Raul, header, from Figo's shot.
OTHER FACTS: Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Champions League Matchday 3. Porto won in Marseille (2-3), in the other game of the group.

Ronaldo: "I do not get tired of winning prizes"

A new chance to acknowledge Ronaldo's ambition. After receiving his second EFE Trophy as best South American player last season, the forward expressed his whish to keep on winning accolades. Recently he stated that this is possibly "the best year in his career". For the time being, the statistics are in his favour and give him all the credits he needs for the rest of the season. He hit six in Liga, two in Champions League and he also scored in the Spanish Super Cup. Ronaldo wants to remain at the top.

You have been honoured with a good number of accolades ever since you came to Real Madrid.
-I would like to keep on winning titles and do even better. Winning is not an easy thing, that's why I must carry on working. I am very ambitious and I intend to win more trophies. I do not want to stop achieving more prizes.

You said this could be the best season in your sports career?
-I am going through an amazing phase, I am feeling very well now, though the season is very long and we must carry on with our preparation. This is essential to keep up our level.

What do you think about Michel Salgado's renewal?
-Personally, I would renew Michel Salgado and Roberto Carlos' contracts. The current team is giving good results and can go on making Madrid fans very happy. I am sure the President will make an effort to reach an agreement.

Apparently Abramovich wants to sign half of the Madrid players?
-No wonder, this is the best team of the world, all the clubs want to get reinforcements from our ranks.

What do you think about Cuper's dismissal?
-I am glad for Inter fans. The Club has lost a great deal in the past few years with this coach.

0-2: The Whites came on for a win and they ran out with it

The Whites came on for a win and they ran out with it. Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos gave the 0-2 victory to their team. After this match against Vigo, Real stands at the top positions of the Liga table. Queiroz’ boys succeded on this tough ground thanks to their work, quality and sacrifice. The first half was just awesome: we enjoyed some perfect passes, dribblings and attacks from both flanks. Besides, Real managed to face the home side’s most aggressive drive. They conveyed a very serious image that has left no doubt about the Whites’ performance on the road. Partizan will be their next rival.

Real’s attitude ruined all sorts of starting strategies. Ahead of the encounter Queiroz had already warned that “we will have to display all our quality and sacrifice”. His men did exactly what he asked for. We could see how the attacking line was deployed very near the opposing goal. This gave a lot of trouble to the locals’ freedom to move around the field as they lost a good number of balls. The resulting effect was Real’s undisputable control of the game. Another great feature of the Whites’ play was their sealing-off of every gap, their passing and their smooth team work. Madrid moved around the field very skilfully when they did not have the ball and proved very dangerous on the opposing goal every time the ball was at their feet. Roberto Carlos and Salgado did a wonderful job sending the ball ahead on the flanks. Figo got every single pass.

As the game went on, Real played more and more like clockwork. They put the home side on the ropes on three occasions: Zidane’s centre shot (11’), a very close-range missile by Ra?l (14’) and Ronaldo’s heel kick hitting the post (20’). The goal was bound to come any time. Ronaldo eventually got it in the 24th minute. Ra?l Bravo stole the ball, on to Zidane who runs to the flank. Figo receives and gives the great pass. The impressive local defence collapsed with these four moves. Just like last campaign, the Brazilian forward opened the score in Vigo.

THE MATCH:
0 - CELTA: Cavallero; Velasco, Caceres, Contreras, Juanfran; Angel, Luccin, Jose Ignacio (Vagner, 65’); Gustavo Lopez (Jesuli, 31’), Mostovoi; and Milosevic (Catania, 56’).
2 - REAL MADRID: Casillas; Salgado, Pavon, Raul Bravo, Roberto Carlos; Helguera, Beckham; Figo (Guti, 77’), Zidane; Raul and Ronaldo (Solari, 85’).
GOALS:
0-1 (24’): Ronaldo finishes up a perfect interplay between Zidane and Figo.
0-2 (65’): Roberto Carlos comes up with a powerful right-footed shot that beats Cavallero, after having hit Contreras.
REFEREE: Perez Burrull (Cantabria Referees Association). He cautioned Milosevic, Beckham, Raul Bravo and Juanfran.
STADIUM: Balaidos. Liga Matchday 7.

Come fill me up,
I hear it now, coming down,
and my voice cries out.
I only hope your the one,
My words will land upon.

I see you now,
Standing there, near the pool,
i can swear, like an angel,
That fell down from above..
To wake me up,
From this Dreamless sleep.
Please wake me up..

Would you, take my hand?
If i'd ask, for a dance,
You and me,
In these stars up above

Watch that be just not the way
Left and right we're different..
What live, then to give, what to become to take my time
What's this, what to give not to get home all alone.

I just came from a Team building weekend with the youth in Calatagan.. We didn't have alcohol. It wasn't allowed.. (damn!). Anyways, For some reason I survived and enjoyed the whole weekend (maybe because we I had a little help from the Dude up Above). I thought of course, since we were in a beach house and alcohol wasn't around this would be a really fucked up weekend. But It ended up to be pretty interesting. There are some people in the youth that i just didn't want to Conversate to maybe because i thought that they just would jive with my beat.. But last night, I found out that they're aight. Those People were cool, all along. hehehe.. Anyways. Next time i'll make sure there's alcohol. hehehe I want to see them drunk. To Jason and Pisha, Good job on the Weekend.. Nice one! Anyways.. Adios!

0-3: The White's Reserve Beat Sanse

Real has passed the first Spanish Cup test with a team made up of eight reserves. The Whites did not have much trouble in defeating a very hostile San Sebastian. Raul, Portillo and Cambiasso's target made the win. Besides, Riki and Jordi had their dreams come true as they got the chance for a first-team debut. The victory had qualified Madrid for the last sixteen, which will be playing next December 17th. Solari made it all more exciting with his three shots hitting the woodwork.

Last year he became the Spanish Cup top scorer and this year he will not let this reputation down. Guti helped him in this purpose. The white midfielder sent the forward a pass when he was all by himself facing Leal, who, despite touching the ball, did not manage to clear (57'). When the win seemed settled Queiroz started to make the changes. Jordi came on for Raul to play his first official game (64'). Guti had to play as second forward leaving the reserve in the midfield together with Cambiasso.

The final part of the game was a constant series of goal-scoring opportunities. Solari, Portillo and Guti were very close, but the one who got it was Cambiasso when he intercepted a save in the penalty area. Riki also made his debut in the first team and showed us the reason why there are nine targets to his name with the reserve team. Real Madrid passed the Spanish Cup first round without much showy playing but with lots of good work. The nest encounter in this competition will take place next December 17th.

THE MATCH:
0 – SANSE: Leal; Vaqueriza, C. Alberto, Canizares, Romero, Blanco (Carlos Lopez 41´), Torregrosa, Nacho, Redondo (Arias 60´), Javi Moreno (Espino 60´) and Valdivia.
3 – REAL MADRID: Cesar; Borja, Roberto Carlos, Pavon, Ra?l Bravo; Cambiasso, Guti (Riki 80´), Nunez, Solari; Raul (Jordi 64´) and Portillo.
GOALS:
0-1, min.28: Cambiasso assists Raul who beats Leal after having got around the centre of the local defence.
0-2, min.57: Guti passes it to Portillo when he is all by himself, the forward only needs to chip it into the net.
0-3, min.87: Cambiasso scores right after a few saves by Sanse defence.
REFEREE: Ramirez Dominguez, Andalusi Referee Association. He cautioned Nunez (63´), Guti (64´) and Carlos Lopez (82´).
OTHER FACTS: Spanish Cup last thirty-two. Matapinoneras Stadium, 5.000 spectators. Florentino Perez watched the game from the box. Real Madrid B coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro also was there sitting at Queiroz' bench.

Our 2 Month Old Dachund,Colgate Met our Creator this evening. He Was Ran over by this Crazy ass pick up who was driving like a maniac... He will surely be missed..

2-1:The Whites Beat R.C.D. Espanyol

It was a matter of time. After 51 minutes of play Real finally managed to break through the sound defensive wall deployed by Clemente. Despite their great endurance during the first half, Espanyol could do nothing about the wonderful actions of the white midfielders, probably the ones with the best technique in the world. Then there was Ronaldo’s eye for the goal. An eye that worked today again one year after his debut with those decisive targets he scored that time too. The Brazilian forward was the only one that finally converted all the chances his team had on their feet. Figo missed a penalty kick and his teammates wasted more than ten clear opportunities to score. The score could have become a stuffing.
Although there was no goals scored in the first half, Madrid did a lot of good football. Everything worked just fine for them thanks to their overwhelming control of the ball. The whites rolled it very wisely and put it inches from the opposing net. But it never got to touch it on any of the ten clear chances: a free kick by Beckham brushed the post; two powerful shots by Roberto Carlo and Figo were saved by Lemmens; Zidane’s voley from the opposite end of the field forced the goalie to work hard. It would have been an awesome goal.

THE MATCH:
2 - REAL MADRID: Casillas; Salgado, Pavon, Helguera, Roberto Carlos; Beckham (Cambiasso, 87), Guti, Figo, Zidane (Solari, min. 87); Raul and Ronaldo (Portillo, min. 87).
1 - ESPANYOL: Lemmens; Tayfun (Velamazan, min. 68), Jarque, Domoraud, Carlos García, David Garcia; Bastia (Oscar, min. 78), Morales (Alex, min. 70), Wome, Maxi; Raul Molina.
REFEREE: Miguel Perez Lasa, Basque Referee Association. Yellow cards to Carlos Garcia, Raul, Zidane, Salgado and Javier Clemente, Espanyol coach. Wome was sent off.
GOALS:
1-0: Min. 51: Great pass from Salgado to Raul, who turns around in the area and sends it to Ronaldo.
2-0: Min. 82: Ronaldo, header, from Beckham’s pass
2-1: : Min. 92: Alex hit the net by a few inches.
OTHER FACTS: Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, almost full. Liga Matchday 6. Mild weather and field of play in excellent conditions.

1-3:The White's beat Porto!

The warning at Mestalla took effect at Das Antas. Real have taken a big step towards the Champions League last-sixteen round following today’s 1-3 win against Porto. Helguera, Solari and Zidane’s targets were the reward to the Whites’ practical and effective play. Local player Costinha opened the score giving rise to some fear in the 1300 white fans that had traveled to Portugal. But there is more value to this win considering the fact that Beckham did not appear and Raúl only came on when the game was already solved. The three points earned tonight add up to the other three from Marseille, which all together puts the Whites at the top of the Group F.

Porto gave an early warning with Pedro Mendes’ long-range shot, though the local goal came later on in the sixth minute. Casillas saved a shot by Derlei and Costinha only had to chip the ball into the net. The goal knocked Real out and left them uncapable of stopping the home side’s drive. Mourinho’s plane was working fine. The pressure and the quick movement of the ball prevented Guti and Helguera from linking to the foward line.

Real was going through their worst moments. They did not manage to put one dangerous action together and the home side did not allow them into their ground. But just then Figo came up with some of his best play this season. Valente could do nothing to stop his country fellow and then we started to see more danger on Baía’s goal. Santiago Solari kicked a centre shot that was missed by Ronaldo, though not by Helguera who headed the ball taking the goalie by surprise (27’).

Real Madrid C.F. and F.C. Porto

Real Madrid go to Portugal looking to build on their 4-2 victory over Olimpique Marseille on Matchday 1. However the 2002 Champions League winners were brought down to earth on Saturday, falling to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Valencia in the Primera Divisi?n. Coach Carlos Queiroz lost the services of England captain David Beckham in that match, while defender Rubén Gonz?lez is also ruled out with a dislocated shoulder. Leading scorer in Champions League history, Ra?l Gonz?lez, has recovered from a hip injury enough to make the bench however. Real will hope to improve on their dismal recent record away from home in Europe, a run which has seen them win only once in their last seven European trips.
Porto coach José Morinho has been dealt a blow with the loss of captain Jorge Costa, who misses the game with a knee injury. Russian playmaker Dmitri Alenichev is also absent through injury. Last season's UEFA Cup winners make two changes from the side which beat Vit?ria Guimar?es 2-1 on Saturday, with Pedro Emanuel and Maniche replacing Costa and Edgaras Jankauskas, who drops to the bench. Porto have a great recent record at home in European competition having won six of their last seven games at Antas.
Welcome to the Antas Stadium for this evening’s UEFA Champions League Group F encounter between FC Porto and Real Madrid CF. This Iberian derby will be the tenth meeting between the two sides, all of which have been in the European Champion Clubs’ Cup and the Champions League. The Spanish champions have come out on top, winning eight compared to Porto’s two wins in those encounters. Real Madrid also won on their last visit to Antas, a 2-1 victory in 2001-02.
