Ronaldo: "I do not get tired of winning prizes"

A new chance to acknowledge Ronaldo's ambition. After receiving his second EFE Trophy as best South American player last season, the forward expressed his whish to keep on winning accolades. Recently he stated that this is possibly "the best year in his career". For the time being, the statistics are in his favour and give him all the credits he needs for the rest of the season. He hit six in Liga, two in Champions League and he also scored in the Spanish Super Cup. Ronaldo wants to remain at the top.

You have been honoured with a good number of accolades ever since you came to Real Madrid.
-I would like to keep on winning titles and do even better. Winning is not an easy thing, that's why I must carry on working. I am very ambitious and I intend to win more trophies. I do not want to stop achieving more prizes.

You said this could be the best season in your sports career?
-I am going through an amazing phase, I am feeling very well now, though the season is very long and we must carry on with our preparation. This is essential to keep up our level.

What do you think about Michel Salgado's renewal?
-Personally, I would renew Michel Salgado and Roberto Carlos' contracts. The current team is giving good results and can go on making Madrid fans very happy. I am sure the President will make an effort to reach an agreement.

Apparently Abramovich wants to sign half of the Madrid players?
-No wonder, this is the best team of the world, all the clubs want to get reinforcements from our ranks.

What do you think about Cuper's dismissal?
-I am glad for Inter fans. The Club has lost a great deal in the past few years with this coach.
