The Reds have a proud European tradition having lifted the big trophy five times, but after the glory days of the 1970s and 1980s it is only since Benítez' arrival that Liverpool have returned to European heavyweight status.
Having lifted the Champions League prize in 2005, with a losing appearance in last season's Athens showpiece, Benítez has now called on his players to deliver against Chelsea tonight and reach their third final in four years.
