"Brazilian Defender Stays in Real til' 2007"



Real Madrid CF announces that Roberto Carlos has renewed his contract until June, 2007. The player might extend his contract automatically until June, 2008, subject to the compliance of some requirements. The Sporting General Director of Real Madrid, Jorge Valdano, has made the following assessment of the agreement: “Real Madrid has fulfilled its wish to keep one of its most emblematic players, with the intention that he could finish his career in this Club”

And I thought he's gonna transfer to Chelsea.. *Whew*
