4-1: Dissapointing

Real Madrid suffered a serious defeat in Seville (4-1) in a game that was worth the top position of the table. But the absences in the white defence proved to be more significant than everybody expected beforehand. The scoreboard was showing a categorical 4-0 by halftime. After the break the look of the play changed as Madrid put the local side under siege enjoying a good number of opportunities to score. But then the four goals from the first half proved a too heavy burden. Hardly five minutes into the game and Real Madrid suffered the first stroke from which they failed to recover. Fortune was on the local side and, in the end, proved a determinant factor of the play we were to see on the field. The first evidence of this occurred a few minutes later when Dario Silva rounded off an action that Reyes has started off.
