...

Eversince the passing of Tita The atmosphere here in the residence has been dismal. I don't blame anyone though, i guess it's just really like that. And because of which i can't bare to stay home for no more than 10 hours. I mean, I literally just stay out the porch and sound trip just so that i can get out of this murky environment. I can't take this no more.. no disrespect or anything.. just keeping it real.

So what's been up lately?! 32 hours left on my internship, so i'm guessing that's less than a week. I'm just a bit worried since i got used to working that, what will i be doing in the next few weeks right before graduation? hmmm.. i can imagine the boredom and the countless hours on the tube playing Playstation. Sheesh.. this is a good thing right? i mean, getting used to working and shit?! oh well, c'est la vie..

ok.. i'm out of words.. till next time

A Farewell and So Far So Good..

"Everyone must leave something behind when he dies. A child or a book or a painting or a house or a wall built or a pair of shoes made. Or a garden planted. Something your hand touched some way so your soul has somewhere to go when you die, and when people look at that tree or that flower you planted, you're there.
It doesn't matter what you do, he said, so long as you change something from the way it was before you touched it into something that's like you after you take your hands away. The difference between the man or woman who just cuts lawns and a real gardener is in the touching, he said. The lawn cutter might just as well not have been there at all; the gardener will be there a lifetime."

"You will be missed Tita Maripi.."

---

So far so good, 80 hours left in my internship and i'm on my way to the stage of Philippine International Convention Center's Plenary Hall, I just hope i don't do anything stupid to jinx that. Anyway, since i'm in my last few hours of kitchen duty, i am already being assigned to do advanced things like, making Genache and Italian Cream Filling in the Pastry Kitchen, Taragon Gravy and Hollandaise Sauces and such in the Hot kitchen to plating for functions with 200 people or more in it. Tiring yeah? but this is what i do best and i love what i do, and i live for this shit. It's actually an honor to be able to do these things since i'm just an intern. I guess i have already gained their trust towards kitchen work.

On other things, Happy Birthday Banana Pancakes, Miguel Herrera, Therese Castro, Chef Tina Velasco and Kevin Choy!! To another dramatic year to all of you!!

Sunday, September 03, 2006

I sincerly ask for your prayers. My tita Maripi is currently in the Asian Hospital's ICU, suffering from a stroke. A hemmorage in the brain was the cause of all this. At this point only your prayers and miracle could save her.. Please..

Rewind..

Two weeks has passed since my last blog entry.. Surprisingly, nothing blogworthy has happened. Sad ain't it?! so far, it's been work - school - home - work - school - home for me. Working in a hotel can really be a pain in the ass.. but that's what i'm trained for.. so i guess i just have to stick with it, and besides, this is what i want.. or what i think i want.. anyway, i've been in the front desk of The Bellevue Manila for the past three weeks and so far, so good. I acutally like it there, though the it's a bit demanding since i have to work six times a week. Moving on, since then i've encountered different kinds of people and based on that.. it's still fucking Koreans i hate the most! They are the rudest, most undisciplined and most obnoxious people i've encountered in the freaking world! i hope they all move back to their country! my lord they are like fucking mosquitos here in the Philippines! and worse is they act as if this is their country! My god! at least show some respect! Further more.. my next blog is probably in the next two weeks since starting next week i'll be busy so Ciao!!

The Bianconeri Moves to Serie B with a 30 point Deduction

"Unheard-of"

In light of the sentence decreed by the Commissione d’Appello Federale, which has proposed the demotion of Juventus to Serie B with the deduction of 30 points, Chairman Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has made the following statement: "It is unheard-of. We expected a balanced sentence from a court comprised of jurists of such esteem, both in its form and its content. Evidently our expectations were misplaced. The sentences signal a desire to attack the companies with excessive severity. We do not understand the differential legal treatment applied to the four cases under consideration. As the facts have clearly demonstrated, the episodes relating to Juventus under the observation of the sporting tribunal are without question comparable to those with which the other teams are charged. The difference being that in our case only two matches have been called into question. Therefore in this moment our priority is to look after the interests of our fans and those of the minor share holders, and we will do this straight away, appealing to the Consiglio Federale"

Source: Juventus.com

This is just too much, and from my point of view and it is not right. To be fair, the other teams 3 teams involved should have a sentence as grave as this. Either way though.. FORZA JUVE!

Anyway, i still got the Azzurri who trashed the host nation last night with a 2 - 0 win at extra time, thanks to Grosso and yours truly Alessandro Del Piero! Lovely goals by both players dissipated the dream of the host nation Germany.. Better luck next time i guess.

Copa Mundial

As for the World Cup, the teams i'm rooting for are doing good so far. Brazil won their last game against Croatia with a 1 - 0 score with Kaka being the scorer. Their performance was quite disappointing considering they are on their title defense and with their line up being the strongest amongst everyone. Major improvements on their defense and attacking should be done especially with their next oppenent, the uprising Australian team. Italy so far is is doing great with their 2 - 0 win against Ghana, Iaquinta and Pirlo being the goal scorers. Coming in with 19 international games without defeat, winning 11 and drawing 8 since their last defeat last October 2004 against Slovenia, the wishful US team will need not just fan support but major prayers in order to win against them later today..

TEAMS TO WATCH OUT FOR:
Argentina Netherlands Czech Republic England Germany Spain

Anyway, so far i have no complains about school other that i have no practi spot yet but it's all cool.. I'm graduating on October. Other than that, today was the first full run through of the play and to tell you the truth, i wasn't expecting it to be really good (Good Job guys). Further more.. what else can i say?! Everything is peachy north of the border?! Maybe.. i just don't want to talk about it no more.. i got better things to worry about.. "I'll just be here for her whenever i'm needed.. but other than that, i'll just be doing my own thing" because thats how it is i guess.. don't want to elaborate and make this entry sound mellon collie.. it's mellon collie as it is.. hehe.. Peace.. a little later and another blog entry will appear..

DAY 25: The Last Day

The day was spent downtown San Francisco, where we basically just hung around the Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Actually, everybody wasn't in the mood to do anything today, i just forced them to head for the city so that i'd be able to go to Golden Gate Park.. hehehe. Everyone was just so tired and eager to go home already that, they just wanted to complete the final items on their shopping lists and hang in the house the whole day. I was so surprised to hear Mom actually decline when Kuya Louie asked her if she wanted to head out to the outlet which was a couple of minutes away from where we were. hehehe..

Anyway, so this is my last day here in the states.. i'm heading back to the good old Philippines in like five hours time. Honestly, i really want to go home already, but i'm just not so sure if i'm ready to face what's waiting for me back home. I mean, first up we have "One Way".. I have no problem with the production.. i know we'll do fine.. it's just that, for the past few weeks, i've been chatting with some people from the crew and some from the production team and besides the play's progress not up to quota, from what i've been hearing, the everybody's attitude towards each other are getting worse. Everything is getting to their heads and this is not good, especially the playdate being two weeks from now. I don't know how it came to this.. before i left, we had a forum about this since we already had this problem during the early stages of this production and i was actually confident that that would keep eveybody's head straight and their feet on the ground.. I guess it didn't. Oh well, C'est la vie, i'm heading back to the Chaos of the "One Way".. Whoopie.. this is going to be a wild ride.

Next i got some school stuff to worry about. My last term as a student is about to start on the 22nd.. Well, actually i've got not a lot of problems regarding that, infact i got motivation to actually get the job done which is "I have to go back here as soon as possible and get my papers fixed legaly because................!" hahahahahaha!! so far that motivation is way over the Motivation gauge.. i just hope it doesn't run out (i don't think it will).

So.. there you go.. this is where my trip ends. My next blog will already be back home (complaining about the weather). Hehe.. so what have i learned these three weeks?! Well.. for one thing.. i have a reason to go back here.. well.. north of the border that is. And, lastly life here is great... though life in back home is still the shiznit! hahaha! ok.. i'm out of Corona.. well.. Adios!! So Far.. All Good... hehehe

Alcohol Consumed this trip:

Corona's = 17 bottles
Heiniken's = 7 bottles
Some Mexican Beer (i think the name is Sol)= 5 bottles
Alexander Keith's = 1 huge ass Glass
Coor's Light = 2 bottles
MGD = 4 cans
Jose Cuervo = 5 shots

Weather Report for tomorrow:

SCORCHING!!
