The Sun Card
You are the Sun card. The light of the Sun reveals
all. The Sun is joyful and bright, without fear
or reservation. The childish nature of the Sun
allows you to play and feel free. Exploration
can truly take place in the light of day when
nothing is hidden. The Sun's rays fill you with
energy so that you may live life to its
fullest, milking pleasure out of each day. Such
joy and energy can bring wealth and physical
pleasure. To shine in the light of day is to
have confidence, to soak up its rays is to feel
the freedom of a child. Image from: Stevee

To whom it may concern:(You know who you are..)

JUDGING from what i'm writing right now, i am offended. Ever since I was a kid, I never wanted to be a JUDGE. Because it's just not right. that's why from the start, i never JUDGE. I write what i see and what happens.. What it is and what it was... what it not and what it's gonna be.. Take a second to understand for who you think this entry is dissing.

Put yourself in my position,
and just try to envision,
Writing what i see, what happened,
as real as i can be..
and now i become someone who's Judging?

Anyway.. it's cool.. as always.. you're new in this place, better get used to it.. No Judging, just the facts, really.. Welcome to my World..

When Do You know when you have to stop living up there and living down here?!

Tonight, she was drunk once more. And me and Jada had to take care of her. The last time she was drunk i was the only one who had to take care of her, and that last time was a bit steady. Tonight was bit more depressing.. More intense and more vocal. It's cool, it's cool.. though.. one mre and i'm out.. wasted, blog later..

Wednesday, August 18, 2004

And so it's already Wednesday. Just now i found out that i didn't have to take my final exam in two subjects (Yey!) and the weather seems to still be in a bitchy mood. Can't play golf in this weather, the fairway is muddy and it's just not right(yeah, and our laundry lady will be very pissed at me). Anyways, this week is still in perfect shape. Ain't nothing stupid happened yet.. well there's still 2 days left so we'll see.. On other news, I can honestly say i have long hair.. after almost 10 years or maybe 10 years of having a shaved head, 4 months ago i decided to grow my hair.. it's now atleast 4 inches long! anyhow.. i ain't got more shit to say so i'll leave this here for now.. blog later! PEACE!!

Shit that i should be doing this week:

- Play Golf
- Go to the Driving Range
- Go Walking in the Golf Course with Ava
- Go to Church this Thursday for the COE (what the hell is COE anyways)
- Play Ball this Saturday

Monday, August 16, 2004

After a long week of not blogging, i am back. My reason for not blogging?! My Internet connection got disconnected (My Mother asked me to pay the bill, but i forgot because of the PS) and i got this new game in the playstation hence, i have playing it like there's no tomorrow (Tiger Woods PGA tour 2003). Anyways, This has been a very long and stressful week but somewhat rewarding in the end. First up, we got this exhibit in the campus about this Philippine Indigenous tribe called the "Kalingas", where we had to set up this booth so that it would look like an authentic kalinga house the whole week and basically, just watch over the booth so that no crazy ass fuck would mess with it. Next up we got the LSS (Life in the Spirit Seminar)#20 and YLSS (Youth Life in the Spirit Seminar)#8 in church the whole weekend where i was part of the service team. Basically we had the chance to serve those people who need spiritual guidance and spiritual enhancement in their lives. Basically, what the Service team does is serve food, clean up after the participants, set up the place and become "Catchers" for those people who get slain by the holy spirit. My brother was one of those participants in the LSS, and it was his second time to take it. I don't really know why but i think the first one didn't really work for him cuz' he was forced to join. This time he wanted to join, maybe he'll find some spiritual balance the second time around. It's amazing to think how God can change so many people, and for the enth time, He proved it to me. I know my brother to be one of them people who keep their feelings inside. He's some what shy, when it comes to that. So basically sharing something amazing or something spiritual to a crowd of let say a hundred or a hundred and fifty would be out of the picture. But what he did awhile ago made me stand up and just clap and be proud that he is my brother. He shared something that is spritual and life changing to a crowd of a hundred and fifty. For Me, My Family and My Friends, this is something extraordinary. My Brother? up in a podium? in front of a lot of people? sharing something deep and personal? something is probably up with this. When i asked him what made him do it, he simply just said "Something inside of me said that i just had to share this". Not asking anymore questions i knew where he got his cojones to be up there in front of a lot of people.

"Thank's Big Boss up there above the clouds that makes the sunrise and the sunsets"

If people remember my question, "What if God was in front of me and i'd ask him why?! i wonder what He would say?" well this friend of mine showed me this quote and i know this is what He's gonna say
"I Never said it would be easy, I just said it would be worth it.."

Hello, how are you doing today?
I hope I find you feeling healthy
I'm so glad our paths crossed this time today
On our way into the night

I say it's love, it's hiding deep, deep down inside us all
So maybe, we'll shed a little love from deep inside
Love, it's not so tough if you come admit it too
Well, baby, you're hearts into a thousand pieces dashed

Stop only the old and wise, with clouded eyes
You can't see what I can
'Cause I blindly throw my faith to the face
Of the next pretty girl that comes my way

Wackiness: 66/100
Rationality: 62/100
Constructiveness: 34/100
Leadership: 40/100

You are a WRDF--Wacky Rational Destructive Follower. This makes you a hacker. Your thirst for knowledge can be damaging to your possessions--you like to take things apart, even if you then forget to put them back together. You demand respect and, no matter how much you are respected, seldom feel it is adequate. You are tenacious, and will stick to a task long after weaker minds have given it up. Socially, you are awkward, and get into arguments and make people uncomfortable. One recommends counting to ten, holding back comments unless warranted, and listening more than speaking. Still, your no-holds-barred approach to socialization can be strangely endearing, as long as you are funny and self-deprecating.You feel misunderstood, and you probably are.

Ok.. Go ahead and try it!

I skipped school today to play nine holes with Primo. I figured that, it's a crime to spend this beautiful sunny and not so hot day inside a classroom. Than spending it in the golf course! You know what i mean?! The day is just so lovely! and i wasn't in the mood to listen to my professor lecture me on Philosophy. So now, i've been playing golf for the past two days.. you can now consider ma an addic! i even wrote something about it! (look at the thing under this!) hehehe.. for those worrying, don't worry about my grades.. they're all good! hehehe..!!

-------

As I look up at the sky, my mind starts trippin, a tear drops my eye. My body temperature rose, i'm shakin' and i'm breakin, trying not to think of golf. My Conscience is pumping on my chest and i'm screaming, i stop dribbling, damn i start swinging. Dear God i wonder could you save me!? I ditched school and i want to hit a Birdie.. I think it's too late for pitching, hold up, a voice came to me and it quickly started saying.. "Bring your golf swings to me i'll make it better".. But how long will it take? "A couple of months maybe forever".. But will i be the baller that i was?! "I'll make your life better kid, better than you dreamed of.. so relax you hold, take control, eyes on the ball.." My eyes are on hold..

Today's Golf Game:
- 63 on the back 9.. (same as yesterday...)

Yesterday's Golf Game:
- 63 on the front 9.. (it's cool, but i know i can do better)

When you watch a cooking show, and then see something really good and what i mean by "good" is really good, you normally say "Damn that shit is making me hungry (tang ina! nakakagutom yan!)". And then eventually you start craving for that certain dish and start looking for that shit, and if ever you don't have the ingredients to make that shit (which by the way, always happen around here), you just grab whatever is edible in the fridge and start munchin' away, with out thinkin bout the consequences of your actions. Well, yesterday or was it two days ago?! i dunno anyways, i was watching "Mario eats Italy" and then he made this dish called "Rigatoni Di'Amellia" and since the dish looked like something that came from heaven, i started lookin' for the goddamn recipie. After 2 hours of searching, i ended up eating Koko Crunch (Cereals) because some of the ingredients can't be found here (The Philippines). Anyways, awhile ago, The G'Funk family (My Family) went to cibo for dinner and lucky me they had the dish! wooohooow!! Ok now the downfall.. After 2 servings, a huge pannini and a gallon of iced tea... i'm stuffed till next tuesday... Now.. i'm still stuffed.. i can't sleep because i'm still stuffed.. it's 1:39 a.m. and i have a 7 a.m. (in which cocoy will pick me up by 5:45 becauase the traffic here is just terrible!) class that i have to attend to because we have a quiz and i can't sleep because i'm still stuffed.. Damn.. talk about satisfying your craving..

Last Friday's Golf Game
- Let's not talk about that..

I'm reading this book called "1984" by George Orwell. They said it's a controversial book back when it was published (Incubus even made a song about it). The theme is about a "Negative Utopia", and this shit, i can honestly say is quite convincing, especially if you gots a good imagination. I Recommend this to everyone.. Anyways..

In a couple of hours is another weekend, and yes, friday is already considered a weekend. Will i be with the Churchies or will i be with the Voltron Crew? anyways, it doesn't reall matter, as long as i do something you know what i mean?! last saturday was aight, i mean, Luke and Riz were pretty much drunk plus them other people from the Youth. So basically it was a steady weekend. This coming, i hope something happens, i mean, besides bumming and all that stuff.. Anyways i won't be bloggin' tomorrow and shit unless it something important.. Peace! You guys have a Pleasant weekend!

Tomorrow's Golf Game:
- Make atleast 3 PARS!
- Get your shitty ass drives right!

And so i was chillin' with Dave Matthews awhile ago, until i heard a couple of lines that made me stop.. ("Why do I beg like a child for your candy? Why do I come after you like I do? I love you.."  and "Watch the deck, Count your cards It makes no sense that I'm always losing..")  And just realize that i've been continually loosing in this shit we call "The Game" for a long time now. I know i ain't desperate and all that shit, but it's just sad to realize something like that you know?! I mean, why do shit have to be complicated?! i mean, it's not as if after all that shit, the end of the world is coming! shieeet!... I guess that's life! but CAN IT BE ALL THAT SIMPLE?! i mean, is that too much to ask?!.. shieeet... man! what the hell! Fuck it man, i'll just go to the Playground and shoot some hoops...

If you can't respect that, then your whole perspective is whacked, maybe you'll love me when i fade to black.."

Special Mention:
Happy 22nd Birthday to my friend Primitivo "Watson/Ser" Penaranda the Third! Have a good one!

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one...

Weekend Recap.. (ZzZzZzZ... what the hell happened?!)

To cut the shit short, i didn't do shit this weekend. I stayed in the house and sat in front of the tube and played the Playstation.. (pathetic.. yes i know..). For some reason, wasn't in the mood to go out this weekend, i mean, i felt so tired for some reason.. (does this mean i'm getting old?!.. shit!). Anyhow it's cool, i mean, now i know a lot more shit about my house than i used to.. Shit was i that bored?!

On the other hand, i saw all my midterm grades already.. From the way i've been slacking off this term, i'm surprised to see a 4.0. And this 4.0 didn't just come from any Professor. This grade came from one of the most respected Professors in SHRIM (School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management).. hehehe cool! Anyways, my other subjects' grades ranged from a 2.5 - 3.5.

Reminder to self: Don't even think about slacking off some more!! Ya heard?! You got's to keep this shit up bitch!

Thursday, July 15, 2004

The tendency of a person to have no one to consider his or her own in such occations as Valetines, Christmas, New Year, Trick or Treating, being in the house and just chillaxin, and so on and so forth is sometimes just plain depressing you know what i mean?! Sometimes, this can even lead to clinical depression and sometimes suicide(well i think sometimes it does). Anyways, basically what i'm trying to say is, it's really nice to have someone special. But for those people, who ain't got no one.. here are some things you can do to occupy yourself..

1. Play Golf.. (If you play one whole round well.. you ain't got to worry about you morning and Afternoon!)
2. Learn Golf.. (Try playing before actually learning the game! who gives a shit!)
3. The Driving Range.. (Practice you golf swing!)
4. Chipping and Putting.. (Practice you short game through your Pitching wedge and Putter!)
5. Play Basketball.. (A nice game of ball can really take your mind of things!)
6. the good ol' tube!.. (Watch some good quality Television! who knows, you might just pick up something interesting!)
7. Smoke.. (Don't smoke.. then start!)
8. Spark up an own.. (Don't do drugs?! good! but if ever you want to laugh! try it!)
9. Invite you friend JC or Absoulte.. (Well, this is nice if it's Valentines or something but i'd advise you don't do this everyday!)
10. Why not try actually dating someone.. (What the hell!? DOY!! Do someting about you loneliness!)

This may work for awhile, but the sure fire solution to your lonliness is number 10.. go figure!..

Golf News..

I scored a 67 on the front 9 yesterday *Shakes my head*.. and a 66 on the back 9 today *Shakes my head even more*. I really have to work on my short game.. especially chipping.. it's just dreadful! my chipping made me go laps in the Country club's 16th hole's green *shakes my head some more* which is so degrading. I can say that my Driving improved.. (even a little bit.. yes, it did.) now it's in the shortgame.

Sports News..

Golf

DRIVER: Nasty.. Just plain Nasty..
IRONS: Ok.. Just have to work a bit on the direction..
PITCHING/CHIPPING: Steady.. Just have to control the power of my swing..
THE BEACH: Steady.. i dunno, i just find it steady..
PUTTING: Ok.. just have to work on ball control..

Today's Golf Issue: The "DRIVER".
It may be good that i can hit the ball 225 yards, or sometimes more because of the roll, but the thing is.. I can't seem to get it to go straight! As much as i try to apply what other people teach me (Namely Primo, Vic and this Waiter in the Driving Range), I can't seem to get it. It always makes a "Hook (left)" or a "Slice (right)" which is not very nice, considering the fairway to be straight up in front of me. Awhile ago, i had a very very frustrating driving session, Oh yeah, i also hit the tee girl in the arm (her arm is swollen). Anyway, out of 40 balls in the bucket, I had only 10 straight shots with the driver. Frustrating.. really..

"0-1: Greece New Kings of European Football!"

As a goal by Angelos Charisteas, they have pulled off one of the greatest upsets in a major football competition. The achievement of Otto Rehhagel's team of European journeymen is hard to put into perspective, but once again the belief they have shown in themselves throughout this amazing adventure was too strong for their opponents. Portugal thus became the first host nation to lose a UEFA European Championship final and they will have to wait at least another two years to claim their first senior title. For the likes of Luís Figo and Rui Costa it was an agonising end to glittering international careers, but the Portuguese players can still look back with pride on the joy they have provided for their supporters over the past three weeks.

The Match:
GREECE - 1: Nikopolidis; Seitaridis, Kapsis, Dellas, Fyssas; Katsouranis; Zagorakis, Basinas; Giannakopolus (Veneditis 76'), Charisteas; Vyrzas (Papadopoulous 81').
PORTUGAL - 0: Ricardo; Jorge Andrade, Ricardo Carvalho; Miguel (Ferreira 43'), Nuno Valente; Maniche, Constinha (Rui Costa 60'); Ronaldo, Deco, Figo; Pauleta (Nuno Gomez 74').
Goals
0-1: Min. 57: Charisteas beats his marker and heads a corner from Basinas.
Match Facts: Basinas and Papadopoulos from Greece, and Nuno Valente from Portugal was booked a Yellow card. Estádio da Luz in Lisbon is full. both Prime Ministers and their wives watched the game in the Presidential box.

"NICE ONE GREECE!"

"THE STAGE IS SET IN LISBON"

The Stage is set for Europe's best! In tonight's final, we may be missing some of the remarkable names in European football, but two of the best teams and two of the best coaches will battle head to head in the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal to determine which country will wear the European crown for the next four years.

It has been a tournament of surprises, of wonderful goals, the odd controversy and glorious celebration: courtesy of the Portuguese and the Greeks, the partying has spread far beyond the continent's boundaries. The only pity is that supporters of these two fanatical footballing nations will not be able to celebrate together after the final as someone has to lose, penalties or not.

Greece:
After years of under achievment, Greece stands in a new light as they already gone beyond their wildest fantasy merly by reaching the final. Their players, since many of whom failed to reach first-team places in their clubs, found a new revelation called "Team work" and thankfully because of this, they stand where they are today.

Greece's probable first 11: Nikopolidis; Seitaridis, Dellas, Kapsis, Fyssas; Katsouranis, Giannakopoulos, Zagorakis, Basinas; Charisteas, Vryzas

Portugal
This will be Luiz Felipe Scolari's finest hour as the whole country of Portugal's hopes of winnng rests in his hands. Portugal, too, are anxious to herald a new dawn but victory is needed to ensure that the purpose and direction the Brazilian Scolari has added to their innate talent are not questioned again. They have not lost a match in the capital since 1987, a run of 30 games, and with a settled side they are entitled to be confident.

Portugal's probable first 11: Ricardo; Miguel, Ricardo Carvalho, Jorge Andrade, Nuno Valente; Costinha; Luís Figo, Deco, Maniche, Ronaldo; Pauleta.

PORTUGAL19:45 GREECE
Euro 2004 Final, Lisbon Portugal
Sunday, July 4,2004
Estádio da Luz

For the first time in the history of any UEFA European Championship or FIFA World Cup, that the opening game was replayed in the final. Last June 12, the opening game of the Euro 2004, Greece shocked the Portugese fans in Porto by defeating the host team 2 goals to 1. During that time, people never really expected neither team to keep their campaign going until July, people especially here in the Philippines was cheering for the usual favorites like France, Italia, England, Spain and Germany. But Greece proved to everyone that their place in final was not a fluke by beating the unbeaten Czech Republic in the Semi-finals 1-0 on a Silver goal. On the other hand Portugal, despite of being pressured to play well to win this tournament, they rose to the challenge by beating Netherlands in the Semi-finals 2-1 and thus being, the first host nation team since France in 1984 to qualify for the final of the UEFA European Championship.

The venue may be a lucky omen for Portugal, though. While Greece's only trip to Lisbon was their 1-0 victory against France in the Estádio José Alvalade, Portugal have already beaten Russia and England in the Estádio da Luz as well as seeing off Spain and the Netherlands in the home of Sporting Clube de Portugal.

Goodluck to both the teams!
