Just Because it's a Tuesday..

So just because it's a Tuesday.. I'm still not in the mood to go to work. The day has just been too freaking hot to spend it in the office and do some office work. I just wish I was on my way to the beach later, instead of on my way to work, you know? The summer is just peaking and I can't believe I'm skipping the Anilao trip this weekend..

I HAVE TO GO TO THE BEACH BEFORE THIS FREAKING HEAT WAVE ENDS!!

Anyway, I've just acquired my annual colds and I don't really feel so good.. It's the weather yeah.. I know, just blame everything on the weather..

Just because it's a Monday..

Just because it's a Monday.. I'm seriously not in the mood to go to work tomorrow. I think it's because of the summer atmosphere, but I dunno, it's probably because I'm not nine to five.. The few good things about today is that, the Celtics finally won over the Hawks to advance to the Easter Semi-finals against the Cavaliers and Real Madrid finally crowned the La Liga Champions after their 2 - 1 win in Pamplona against Ossasuna. CELTIC PRIDE AND MADRIDISMO is in check this season.

Anyway, so basically the girl is finally leaving for Vancouver in six days. I actually don't know what i should be feeling right now, but whatever.. We'll just see in a few more days.

So off to bed.. four days of work this week.. yahoo..

Labor Day..

So my Labor Day was spent in the cemetery in Quezon City with my Mother's side of the family. I didn't know that It was labor day when my grandmother died. I just realized now that I've never experienced having grandparents. See, both my grandfathers died before I was even born, one of my grandmothers died when I was two and my only living grandmother speaks either Waray and/or Bisaya so you can just imagine that, I cannot understand half of what she's saying.. Oh yeah and she lives in Surigao del Norte..

Anyway, it would probably be nice to have a granddad hanging around the house you know? Just to have someone tell you stories on how it was back in the early 1900's and all that, Or basically just someone to nag you when come home late.. I dunno.. I just kinda wish at least I was able to hang out with one of them.

So anyway, moving on.. I was hanging out with my Mom's brother Tito Eddie the whole afternoon and can i just say? that guy is freakin' awesome! He technically knows everything about anything! Seriously.. maybe not so much about Trigonometry, but I haven't really asked him about that (I'll probably ask him the next time I see him).

Anyway.. The Weekend is canceled for this week.. but whatever, work is work! CIAO!

Monday..

Most of the time I just love Mondays you know? It's the start of the week and basically start of something new. But there are time wherein, I just despise it. Like for instance, back in High school.. In my first high school, my history teacher would always give quizzes and midterm exams every Monday and I seriously have no clue why and to make matters worse, shoe wouldn't tell us and she would always make it into an essay type of test. Which would annoy everyone.. And she looks like "Denver the Last Dinosaur" if you guys still remember who "Denver" was..

Anyway, I dunno what's up with this Monday, I mean it's been half and half. Actually it's been half and half these past few weeks. I mean, these past few weeks have been a struggle you know? I've got so much in my mind right now.. I don't even know what to start thinking about first.. I'm not in the point of breaking down or being psychotic or anything, it's just that it's been pretty crazy lately..

Moving forward, yesterday was the fourth blankets drive, and comparing to the attendance of the past few blankets. We were just three this time. And considering that it's the summer break for most of the people, I'm so surprised that we're just three. And two out of the three attendees have jobs the next day. Well anyway, yesterday's atmosphere was pretty light. Though we still can't take for granted that, right after the whole experience of giving and taking time to actually talk to the less fortunate, that everything will be straightened out for them. It's was pretty light nonetheless.

And so.. What else is there?! Time to sleep.. work in a few hours.. Ciao!

Work Schedule:

3:30am - 12:30pm
Week A -> Monday and Thursday Day-Off
Week B -> Saturday and Sunday Day-Off

So this gonna be my permanent work schedule starting Tuesday next week. Or until the schedule shifts and that's not in the near future. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, My schedule for the past two weeks have been Tuesday to Saturday from 4am-1pm. So basically that just means that I have to Sleep and wake up and extra 30 minutes earlier.. Well, at least I start and end at the same day (Go on Mon, convince yourself that it's OK).

The only thing I don't like about this schedule, other than the time I have to be up and ready for work is, when everyone is sending you text messages on a Friday night stating "where in the hell are you and why aren't you here in the bar?". Or when you don't reply and they start calling you.. And of course you don't answer since, you think to yourself "WHAT'S THE POINT ANYWAY?", I won't be able to join them and they know damn well I got work tomorrow! I just hate that you know.. Oh yeah, by the way it's Friday..

I never knew that the turn over of people would be really fast in this industry. We started at around twenty three new people two months ago and now we're down to twelve. Five of them can't cope up with the schedule, three of them developed a sickness because of it and the last four, I'm not quite sure what the reason is but they are gone.. I was already told how fast the turn over was, though I never imagined it to be this fast..

So These past few weeks, I've been being monitored by the leader of the team that I'm gonna be assigned to next week, and so far when it come to monitoring he's been like a hawk. And I mean, he just wouldn't leave me the hell alone! Every move I do on the floor he just needs to have a say on it. I dunno if this is a good or not but in my perspective this might just end up really bad. Don't get me wrong, he's a pretty nice guy, though "Dude a little space wouldn't hurt man".

Anyway, in the industry where I am right now, and in my line of work, sales is a very very big thing. It's your bread and butter. You won't succeed in this place if your sales aren't up to par with the company's standard. I'm mentioning this right now because I'm really bad at sales.. Compared to the people around me, I feel like the Miami Heat this season when it comes to sales.. It's just bad.. I really have to work on it, I swear.. I suck pretty bad. But, comparing to two of my colleagues who are like the Boston Celtics this season when it comes to sales, but has broken every Sales Policy Violation in the hand book. I'm happy and proud to be Dwayne Wade right now..

It's been really tough going to work these past few weeks, since summer's just starting for the people, and everyone's been drinking everywhere the whole night every single day.. It's just sad really, but i guess i just have to get used to it.

Moving on, I came across Free Willy 2 just awhile ago while I was having dinner, and I just can't help but remember back then on how I really wanted to go th that place where they shot that movie. Actually, I still plan on heading there until now, It's actually a really nice place based on my research. The Fast Frontier type of thing you know?

And lastly, Today is the first night of the YE6 weekend and this is actually the first time that I'm not attending that retreat and, this is also the first time that it's not gonna be in BLD Covenant house. I don't really know where they're gonna have it but good luck to them and I'll try to make it next year..

Anyway, Off to bed.. Work is in 6 hours and I have to wake up in 4. Thank God it's Friday and this is the last day of work this week..

This shift reminds me of my old shift in the hotel not six months ago. Actually working in that hotel ain't that bad really, it's just the six day work week that I don't like. I find that really stressful and annoying. How can you fucking live properly with a schedule like that? I mean, seriously? c'mon man! Anyway, I'm actually surprised that I'm currently satisfied with where I am right now. Thinking that I swore to the deepest bone in my body that I wouldn't be in this industry ever. Well.. I guess this is how life bites you, You know what I mean? If you ask me right now if I'm gonna be staying in this industry for a long time.. I'd just say I don't know, I wouldn't want life to bite me back this way one more time, I'll just keep the answer to myself. Who knows? Maybe this is my calling (though I hope not).. Maybe this is my ticket out of this godforsaken country that I love so dearly (Could be).. Who knows..

To Kathleen Anne -> Don't worry, I don't need a job.. I already have one. :)

Moving forward.. This coming Saturday Sieg and Sab are finally gonna be married. Actually it hasn't really sunk in yet and I'm the best man. I seriously don't know why. Am I that dense? or am I that cold? to not be able to feel the jitters for my brother at least? Crazy really.. Maybe it's because Sanchboogie is already three and they've been living in and out of this house for the past three years. I don't really know.. But bottom line is I'm happy and proud of them.. Guys.. FINALLY!! THANK GOD!!!

So... Off to dreamland.. Ciao!

Actually, I'm not surprised why I'm on this schedule but, I was promised that I'd be in an earlier one. OK, so the schedule I'm in right now is from 6pm - 3am, a very very very off schedule. They say it's the mid-shift, I say that's normally the time when I head out and actually do what I want to do. But anyway, whatever man, work is work so c'est la vie.. I'm probably just missing the old schedule of 7am - 3pm..

Anyway, I was browsing through a few pictures here in the computer and I came across this near perfect picture of the Chicago river and across was the Times and NBC building (I can't post the pic, it's my sisters). This just made me realize how much I miss that place. Can't wait to go back..

Upgrade..

So yesterday, I finally gave in into buying a new monitor for my Powerful PC (Powerful according to my siblings). I was actually just looking for a cheap monitor, since what the hell right? it's just a monitor?! and I don't need fly one since I don't really watch movies in my PC.. Well, that was my preference up until I saw a 17 inch flat screen High Definition monitor on sale in Electroworld.. So i just told myself "what the hell right? might as well give movie watching in the Personal a chance!"... Ok so other than that, I also saw Subs and fly ass Speakers on sale.. Need i say more?! So just chalk up another useless spending for me.. *Shakes my head in disappointment* I just pray all these shit I just bought last me more than a year!

Yesterday was Cesca's so called reunion dinner. It's actually funny because it was just like we just came from class and it's lunch break. Everyone hasn't seen everyone in years yet as if nothing has changed. Nice to know everyone's still like that towards each other.. Till the next one!

Good Friday

It's been great going to work these past few days. Of course, it's not because of the whole work thing, it's because it's been double pay the past two days including today. Well.. other than that.. everything has been pretty normal. There nothing much happening really since I head straight home after work. I actually don't know why but it's been pretty much my routine these past few weeks. I don't mind really, though from this i notice that my life is getting slower and slower compared to before..

Anyway.. No breakfast.. A puny lunch and most probably no dinner since it's good Friday.. looks like this gonna be a very very long night. And yeah, did I mention that there aren't any stores open today? so yeah.. go figure..

We've been going there for more that ten years now and for some reason, nothing big has changed. Maybe there's a new sand bar and a new dock on the right side of the old and longer dock. Or maybe there's a new Kayak that I won't be riding in a very long while. Ok, so maybe we have jobs now compared to before when we first went there back 10 years ago when we were fresh out of grade school. But other than that, nothing has changed.. It's still the same old, two room, two bathroom long veranda beach house..

You just got to love that place man.. Foreal..

3 after Feb..

So First up Happy 21st to Ean Goquingco and my blogging sabbatical is done. Oh yeah, E, watch yourself boy, you can officially go to jail now. Anyway, It's been Home-Work-Home-Work-Home-Work for the past three and a half weeks for me, and frankly I don't really mind. Considering, it's just a few steps away, I have a pretty fly 7am to 3pm schedule and I'm just sitting around most of the time, what more can I ask for right?

In this temporary industry that I'm currently in right now, I was told that I'd be able to meet different kind of people, different not only in terms of personality but in all aspects of life. I was kinda skeptical about this whole thing until this afternoon, when one of the people from the lot I hang with in the office asked if she could borrow half of my salary and pay me in installment for the next 2 months. Oh yeah, just so that you know, pay day was 3 days ago. When I asked what it was for, she just didn't want to say. Maybe if she gave me a valid reason or at least something believable I'd probably give it a thought. So, Anyway.. I never did lend her the dough and looks like I won't be hanging around her starting today.

So, Another work week.. I hope everything goes well for everyone!
